WEDDING SHOW season has arrived!
We have found a good portion of our business to be from wedding receptions. This weekend we will be participating in METROPOLITAN BRIDE's wedding extravaganza - held on Sunday at the Springfield Expo Center! It really is a fun time for us. We are showcasing new items such as new layouts, new backgrounds, new marketing material, slide shows and we also are now accepting credit cards. We are wanting to give each person renting the booth the best bang for their buck (given the current economic situation).
On September 13th we will be at ALL ABOUT WEDDINGS' show at the University Plaza - anyone wanting to see the booth in action or the new features come by and see us (at either event).
Charity Month - kind of.
The summer has come and gone. So quickly, too!
This month brought some new upgrades and a couple of BIG charity events we attended.
The Taste of the Ozarks, put on by Big Brothers Big Sisters, did a wonderful job raising money for their operations. The food was wonderful as well. We also encountered our first "technical" problem - if you want to call it that. It was easily overcome and people seemed to still enjoy themselves in the booth. Thank you to Katie Davis for having us.
The Price Cutter Charity Auction was a great time as well. It was held at the same location. The auction was to benefit many local charities for KIDS. I haven't heard the figures for the fundraising, but I'm sure it was great too. Thanks to Andrea Porter for having us and for the insider info at the tournament!!!!

Daddy Daughter Dance
The Daddy Daughter Dance was wonderful. Thank you, Midwest Family Radio, for allowing us to be part of an event that enhances the Daddy/Daughter relationship. We enjoyed being a medium that created something for the girls to share with their Daddy's. Being a Daddy's girl myself - I found the event to be a special one that will become a fond memory for all the girls that attended. It was difficult to find which ones to post so here is the website link for your viewing pleasure.

Time Warp Prom
Althought we were in elementary school during the '80's, we still remember alot of the things that made the '80's so cool: leg warmers, big plastic hoop earings, sport coats and sequins, glasses like the ones in the picture below, hair that was teased at least 4 times, and of course the music!!!!
The Time Warp Prom put together by Midwest Family Marketing, more specifically Star 105.1, was a great time. I could think of at least a dozen of my family & friends that should have been there. The event came complete with the arched entrance, the 1980's cover band - MEMBERS ONLY - who was fabulous, and attendees in their '80's attire. Thanks Chris for allowing us to participate and shout out to our new fans Nate & Lauren - you two are great!

Marine Corps Family Day

Although we had a cold start to the day, the weather ended up being very cooperative (we have sunburns to prove it)!
Thank you to the Marines for having us participate in your Family Day event. It was a great time and we enjoyed meeting everyone. The highlight of the day can not go unmentioned - A NEW RECORD HAS BEEN SET. We should have known the old record of 17 would have been broken here. With a LARGE group of Marines and a SMALL challenge of "how many Marines can fit in the booth" we ended up with 18 Marines and family members. FUN TIMES!
To the Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marines:
We can not express our gratitude for your sacrifice and service
for our country. Thank you, thank you, thank you and may God
be with you.

417's List Party

So, the question of the night was.... What is "The List"?
We were there and I'm still really not clear on the answer. I DO know that 417 put on one heck of a party and we were honored to be part of it. Guests sampled great wines and great food from local winery's and resturants. The booth, of course, was engaging and entertaining. We enjoyed ourselves and hope eveyone loved their BOOTH experience.

Metropolitan Bride Show
Metropolitan Bride Show was a hit. Anyone who booked that day got to get into a cash cube! I have always wanted to do that. Our neighbors were great and we saw sooooo many people that day - 800 something brides registered! Not too shabby. Carl's Tuxedo crew got in after the show and tried to set another record. 17 full grown adults fit. Last time it was mostly adults and a couple kids so it was easier. They did great, but no new record - SAD FACE. We will probably be back again in the fall.

12....... no wait........ 17

WHAT !?!
Yep, the booth capacity has been increased to 17. That's right, 17. I couldn't believe it and I was standing there. This all took place at the All About Weddings Show last weekend. The previous record of 10, was held by the GO Magazine crew, but was beat early in the day by the Karl's Bridal & Tux crew. Shortly after closing the show, both Karl's and B sharp (plus some random people) gave it another go. 17 is what they came up with. A whopping 17 people. You can only clearly see 15 in the pictures; however, we counted 17 as they piled out. Believe it or not there was still room for more!
